Second half of October is heavily troubled by the strikes and National Holidays in Greece what can result in delayed delivery of containers. Below please find further information:

PORT WORKERS STRIKES EFFECTING: Piraeus – Thessaloniki – Volos – Heraklion

In September the Unions of the Port Workers declared that they would have continued the Strike till October 12th - no overtime, what means no work at night and no work on Saturday and Sunday and slow production from Monday till Friday daytime.

On October 12th the Union declared that they would continue striking without changes till the end of October.

PAN – ELLENIC STRIKE (NATIONAL STRIKE)

The various Greek Unions declared a National Strike for October 21st. Obviously the Port Labors Unions adhere to the National strike therefore today there is no work in any Greek Port except ASTAKOS.

NATIONAL HOLIDAY

On Tuesday, October 28th there is Greek National Holiday. No work in all greek ports except ASTAKOS which works in overtime.
